The Diocese of Buffalo is issuing new guidelines in response to corona virus (covid-19) concerns.
According to the diocese, the guidance is in stages and could be stepped up if, or when, the situation changes in the country or Western New York.
"I think the first thing we have to do is normalize our emotions and realize it's okay. We all are uncertain. We don't know what the future holds. We fear the unknown. We want to be in control.”
The dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass remains in place. All who are especially vulnerable or simply uncomfortable attending a public Liturgy are encouraged to remain at home and if possible, view Mass via live streams, which will continue in local parishes.

Readings for Sunday, June 13 & 14
Most Body & Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi)
Deuteronomy 8: 2-3, 14b-16a
1 Corinthians 10: 16-17 John 6: 51-58
The readings today not only remind us that God has provided us with food to strengthen and sustain us, but also that this food is unfamiliar and unique. Moses points out that the manna the LORD provided in the desert was “unknown to you and your fathers.” Jesus tells the crowds that the food and drink he provides is his flesh and blood, previously unknown to be food at all. As we receive the Eucharist today, let us appreciate the uniqueness of this true food. Next week’s readings: Jeremiah 20: 10-13 Romans 5: 12-15 Matthew 10: 26-33
